HO SCALE: Autumn Park Industrial Lead (ISL)

This is the first design I posted as a new member of Micro/Small Model RR Layouts back in March 2018. The design is based on a fictional industrial park, and I was able to shoe-horn a lot of modern operations into the 14" x 96" space. I really like the unusually track work with the crossing, and the track entering the fertilizer and farm supply company on an angle. I think it is things like this that make a layout design stand out.

While the design only has three industries, the number of car spots and the variety of traffic is very good in such a small footprint. As you can see from the 3D rendering, it still had an open feel to it, and the track work doesn't seem crammed into the space. As with most design, operations would be greatly enhanced by the use of an attached staging yard on the right hand end. If space was at a premium, I would at the very least add either a removable staging cassette, or a drop down fiddle track.
