HO SCALE: High Park Industrial Lead (ISL)

This is a very simple modern industrial switching layout (ISL) that I designed back in 2007 to fit a 15-inch by 10-foot space. I can't remember if I designed this for someone, or if I was trying to adapting a track plan to fit space that I had available. I was living in a small apartment then, and I was designing a lot of small switching layouts for myself at that time.

The original design had three smaller industries to switch, plus the team track, but I reduced this version to just two larger structures and the team track. Although it would be best if a staging cassette was added to the right end of the layout, it should also work as a stand-alone design providing you limit the number of cars switched during an op-session. While the design is simple, it would provide an hour or so of switching chores for your train crew.
