HO SCALE: Florida Central Railroad

This HO-scale Florida Central RR design was done for a client back in March of 2019 that wanted a small layout based on an industrial park in Orlando, Florida. I was very impressed with the possibilities in the area depicted on the layout; the curves are sharp and the equipment is modern, making for quite a contrast. Many buildings have rounded corners, and there is a lot of still active industries congested in the locale. The tight curves made it possible to fit the layout in a U-shaped 6-foot by 6-foot space using 12-inch wide shelves. There are three industries shown: AmeriGas (propane dealer), Coca-Cola Beverages, and the Frito-Lay Company. While the op-session would be relaxed, it still would offer enough action to keep a crew busy switching for almost an hour.

Nice, nice layout! Very clean, very pleasing to the eye, plenty of switching, and yet, simple. Kids could learn to operate this layout very easily! Exactly the type of layout that I would love to have! Hat tip! Rob's layouts are always very pleasing to the eye! Would love to be a client!
