HO SCALE: Armadillo Lumber Company
This 1920 era HO scale layout was designed for a member of the Micro/Small Model RR Layouts Facebook group and his freelanced Armadillo Lumber Company set in east Texas. The owner only wanted the layout to include a sawmill with log pond and a engine repair house. However, as you can see, I kind of expanded a bit on the theme. Since I have designed a lot of logging layouts in the past, I had a great deal of suitable structures and rolling stock available, so I put them to go use. It took awhile to fit everything on the 30-inch by 72-inch board, but I eventually found a way to get everything I wanted into the scene.
